Please find below a guide to all the features on this site. Just click on the various headings to expand that particular section. If you cannot find the hep that you need here, please contact us using the feedback link at the bottom of each page and we will get back to you at our earliest convenience.
Profile

Your profile page is the page you 'land' at when you login. It displays your personal profile and lists your applications underneath. A User Profile picture can be displayed from your images and it will be automatically re-sized.

The right side of the main page has your profile details displayed. You may edit this by clicking the the "edit" link at the top. Under the Profile details, shows the status updates of your Friends and a button to list all your friends.

Your profile name is displayed with some brief information: Points, Member since, Last online and Profile views. Below them, you may update your status, such as what are you currently up to, etc. Here you  will also see notification of any incoming messages or friend requests.

Moving down the page, you will see displayed a few other details. First is the update of the users latest activities. Then underneath that a list of applications that you have added.

Home
Home shows Latest Members, Recent Activities of Jom Social community and Recent Group Activities.
Top Members
A point-system is used in this network. It shows how active you are within the ommunity. Points will only be activated only when you have uploaded a picture in your user profile. Otherwise, you will forever have no points. But points are given for most activities, such as creating groups, uploading videos or photos, writing on walls, joining discussions, updating your profile etc.
Applications

There are several applications on HisBook. You can choose which application you would like to have on your membership.

To see the list of applications, go to Application --> Browse

To edit it, go to Application --> Edit. Here, you will be able to:

  1. find out what these applications are for
  2. set each of the applications based on your preferences
  3. set the arrangement of applications by dragging it (ctrl + drag up or down).
  4. adjust the privacy setting of each application
  5. remove any applications that you do not want to use
Messaging

There are two ways of sending message to other users:

  1. Personal messaging - this system allows you to send a message to any site members easily. There are 2 ways to send a message, via your own inbox or by clicking on user's profile and writing a message.
  2. Live Chat - this facility is situated on the right hand column and is a way of chatting in real time. To protect your privacy you can only chat with people who are your 'friends'. You can also set your status to 'Available, 'Away, or 'Invisible'.
Groups

You can join and participate in groups easily. Before you can post on the group wall or create a discussion, you will first need to become a member of that group. Click "Join Now" to join your group.

To manage groups that you have joined, go to Application --> Group. Here, you can view the current groups, search a group as well as view groups that you have joined. You can also create a new group.

Announcement
Lists all bulletins you wish to make to the group. Announcements does not support replies. Only the group founder can create bulletins for announcements.

Discussion
Lists all discussions anyone posts in the groups. Discussions support replies from group members.

Wall
Lists wall posts from members of a group. Wall also supports youtube videos. Only Group founders can remove wall posts.

Photos and Videos
To manage your photos, go to Application --> Media.

Here, you can upload new photos, browse them and create photo albums.
